Let’s Put An End To Multiple Myeloma

Lets Cure Multiple Meloma

I am raising money for Multiple Myeloma which claimed the life of my beautiful cousin Laurie Kostopoulos. Here is a message from my cousin Annie on the massive loss they endured.

In early 2007, my family received news about my mother that all families dread – a cancer diagnosis. It was Multiple Myeloma; a rare blood cancer. As scary as this was to hear, anyone who knew my mother knew just how strong she was and that she would fight like hell to beat it. And she did fight. She went through rounds of radiation and chemo. She had blood transfusions. She was on dialysis. So many medications. She was poked and prodded constantly. For three years, she fought with everything she had, but unfortunately on April 7, 2010, my brothers, sister and I lost our mother and our father lost his best friend and wife.
Our mother, Laurie Kostopoulos, was a strong, outspoken and passionate woman. She touched so many people and everyone always remembers her for what an incredible person and mother she was. With every major life event that happens in our lives, the pain of her being gone is magnified and we miss her even more. After we lost her, it became extremely important to my family and I to try and raise money for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation so we participated in walks and held fundraisers in hopes of making a difference. We have always been blown away by how supportive our family and friends have constantly been since we lost her. It is something we will never forget and it’s impossible to put into words how grateful we are for everyone’s continued kindness. Now, our cousin Beth is hoping to raise money for this cause that is so close to our hearts and it truly means the world to us. We would appreciate any donations possible. The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation has made great strides in treatments for Myeloma patients and it is our hope that one day there is a cure. Thank you.
